Contained ( Contenuto), 2018
Site specific installation, Santa Rosa Monastery, Sardinia, Italy.

You are here
in the walls
emerging through the deep crevices
in the stones

carving a world you were forbidden to think that you deserve.
-
Monastero di Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa Monastery) has been abandoned  since the 17th century and was opened in July 2018 for this exhibition. This is a site-specific work - a homage to the women who lived here.

I thank the wonderful people of Nurii for welcoming us with their stories, love, laughter, and food.
